Staff Writer On April 8th, Apple made the newest software update, IOS 8.3, available for download. The update included many new features. Siri can now speak seven new languages. In addition, the update also prevents the issue of screen rotation between landscape to portrait. Lastly, it keeps group conversations from splitting and removes the ability to forward and delete individual messages. With this update, 300 new emojis were added to the keyboard. Before the update the emojis were lacking different skin tones other than an Asian man wearing a gua pi cap and an Indian man wearing a turban. The new emojis are racially diverse, by providing options for skin color. “They look totally cute! I love them,” said Mrs. Steger when asked about the emojis. Now, there’s even 32 more country flag emojis added to the keyboard. “I feel likes some of the people look yellow,” said Abby Beckley when looking at the new updated emojis. Aaron Buck added, “I agree, but I like how there are so many new emojis to pick from.” Comments are closed.
