Staff Writer On April 1st, 2016 at the Keynote event, Apple introduced new steps that are being taken for the iPad. Apple eagerly introduced the iPad pro, coming in two different sizes. One being 9.7 inches, and the other being the biggest iPad created, at 12.9 inches. All of these iPads will be available in four colors, black, silver, gold, and rose gold. “We believe that iPad is the perfect expression of the future of personal computing,” explains Tim Cook on the new iPads. The two new iPads have many new added features based off of some of the suggestions made by previous iPad users. According to Apple, the 12.9 inch model of the iPad Pro has the best resolution out of all of the IOS products. Apple is also introducing “True Tone Display” which adds 25% more color saturation, and allowing the iPad’s brightness to adjust to the room’s brightness, and the temperature of the screen display to adjust as well. These models of the iPad Pro are also 40% less reflective than previous models of the iPad. Also introduced at the keynote, the iPad pro features four speakers on each of the corners of the iPad. Finally, the iPads are equipped Apple’s A9X chip, a M9 coprocessor, and up to 10 hours worth of battery on one charge. Apple claims that the two new iPad pro models are even faster than a laptop. “Customers have really fallen in love with the new iPad pro, in the six months that it’s been on the market,” explains Phil Schiller. Apple has also engineered many new add-ons to the new iPads, like the new keyboard, and introducing the Apple Pencil. This allows the user of the iPad to draw, shade, and discover many new art mediums with the iPad. “Let me be completely clear: this has been the best digital drawing tool there has ever been,” explains Christopher Phin. The Apple Pencil also has remarkable battery life. For instance, the user can get up to 30 minutes of use on the pencil within just 15 seconds of charging the pencil. Apple surely has raised the bar with the new iPad Pros, and all of the new add-ons to enhance the use of the iPad. For more information on the iPad, please visit http://www.apple.com/ipad/ |
