Staff Writer Black-ish is a comedy television series that airs in the USA. It focuses on the Johnson family and the difficulties of living and raising kids in an upper middle-class neighborhood. Black-ish started in 2014 and is still currently showing. The show was created by Kenya Barris who is also the director of the show. Black-ish was also nominated for 10 awards , including three Teen Choice award, and two BET award (Black Entertainment Television) , in 2015, and won five of them. “Black-ish is very funny, and very entertaining, and I love to watch it,” said 8th grade student Raeya Downs. The family of the Johnsons include Anthony Anderson (the dad), Tracee Ellis Ross (the mom), Marcus Scribner (the oldest son), Miles Brown (the youngest son), Marsia Martin (the youngest daughter), and lastly Yara Shahidi ( the oldest daughter). They all face many problems but along the way they solve them as a family. “I watch this show, and enjoy it very much” said Michelle Woo, an 8th grade student at Lakeridge Junior High. In the cover of Black-ish, it shows the Johnson Family spraying very bright, colorful silly string, and they are all wearing bright colorful clothing. This also makes it seem very bright and that they are having fun as a family. The story of this family airs on television every Wednesday, at 9:30 Pacific time. Comments are closed.
