Staff Writer Throughout Portland there are so many cool and fun places teens can hangout at. Many students want to visit downtown, but don't know which places could be enjoyed by a younger crowd. One place that sounds very fun to go to is called Punch Bowl. It’s a place where you can go bowling, play arcade games, darts, shuffleboard, or just hangout and have something to eat. Punch bowl is located at Pioneer Square. This place has such a wide variety of games and activities. Another place like Punch Bowl is Wunderland. It’s located on Belmont st. and it only costs five cents for one arcade game. They have most of the old school games such as Pac Man and Defender. They also do have newer games to play as well. If you're someone who is into alternative bands or singers, there are so many locations around Portland to go and see one a concert. There’s the Crystal Ballroom on Burnside which is used for smaller bands. Arlene Schnitzer concert hall is on Broadway street which is a bigger venue that may attract more well-known acts. Hawthorne Theatre is much like the Crystal Ballroom but it’s in a very cool location on SE Hawthorne. Food carts are another really fun thing to do in Portland. Portland is known for having different and unique food carts. The best pod of food carts is located on 23rd st. It’s called "Taste of Portland." They have a fireplace in the middle of the carts where visitors can sit and enjoy the warmth. Sometimes they will have live bands come and perform. Food carts have a wide variety of foods from Mexican, Asian, Norwegian, to Indian food - a personal favorite. Comments are closed.
